Ahmed Hassan is an accomplished executive leader with over 18 years of experience in international tourism, sports management, NGO leadership, and cross-cultural development. He currently serves as the CEO of the Intercontinental Development Center (IDC) in Riyadh, where he designs and leads transformative sports education, leadership, and capacity-building programs that connect European expertise with regional development needs. His work focuses on governance, ESG principles, and public-private partnerships that support national sports transformation strategies.
Before joining IDC, Ahmed served as CEO of the Alliance for Global Development (AGD) in Luxembourg, where he directed international initiatives in tourism and sports management and guided large-scale development projects across Europe and the MENA region. His leadership experience also includes serving as General Manager of Erasmus ME Academy in Germany, and EU Projects Manager at NGO Nest Berlin, where he expanded the organization’s influence in educational tourism, intercultural dialogue, and sports education.
Ahmed holds a Master’s Degree in International Tourism and Hospitality Management from Global Business School in Spain, a Master’s in NGO Management and Corporate Social Responsibility from Bonn Rhein-Sieg University in Germany, and a Bachelor’s in Architectural Engineering and Environmental Design from the Arab Academy for Science and Technology in Egypt. He also holds professional certifications including PMP, EU Funding Expert, and multiple European trainer accreditations.
Actively engaged in international networks, Ahmed is a member of several global organizations including Rotary Club Bonn International, the American-German Business Club, the Anna Lindh Foundation, the Euro-Nordic Funding Alliance, and various EU development networks. He has represented his work in international conferences across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
Fluent in Arabic, English, and German, Ahmed is recognized for his strategic leadership, project management expertise, and his strong commitment to intercultural cooperation, youth development, and sustainable global development.
